QUALITY MANAGEMENT

The marketing, sales and manufacturing processes of helical products, clamps, hardware fittings and telecommunication products supplied by Apresa – PLP Spain S.A. are in accordance with a Quality Management System as per the ISO 9001 Standard, which emphasizes the quality, uniformity and design of the products.

The object of our Testing Laboratory is the development and the continuous improvement of our products. In this laboratory we cooperate with our customers in researches of their interest and analyze possible problems occurred in overhead lines. We also make the previous tests necessary for the development of new products.

We have a 42 m. long span with the necessary vibration equipments for the purpose of making vibration tests, a horizontal tensile machine for testing products up to 30.000 kgf. in a 10 m. long span, and a vertical tensile machine up to 5.000 kgf. for testing wire and small samples. For the testing of raw material we have the necessary equipments, which are duly and periodically verified by independent organisms, in the same way than the other equipments.

ENVIRONMENT

Committed with environment, in Apresa – PLP Spain we follow a policy of rigorous control of our wastes, and not only respect environment in all our manufacturing processes and the materials used (for instance, in the packing). We also try to help the environment by developing some products, like our Bird Flight Diverters, which contributes efficiently to the protection of the birds. They make overhead lines visible and reduce significantly the hazards to both lines and birds.
