Apresa – PLP Spain, S.A. was founded on March 31, in 1960, under the name of ACCESORIOS PREFORMADOS, S.A. The factory began operations in 1962 with the manufacturing of products for the Power Market. At present, we manufacture and sell helically formed products for overhead lines (low, medium and high voltage) in Power Transmission & Distribution, and for Railway applications. We also manufacture other traditional fittings and clamps for M.V. overhead lines. As a complement to our range of power products, we can supply conductors, insulators, accessories for underground cables, and fittings for H.V. overhead lines.

Due to the growing importance of the installation of F.O. cables in overhead lines, we have developed a complete range of suspension and tension sets for any application (OPGW and ADSS). In addition, new helically formed products have been adapted to different telephone and CATV applications. At the same time we have completed our range of products for OPGW and ADSS applications by incorporating the splice closures and splice cases manufactured by our parent company with great success.

For this purpose, and accepting the new opportunities we are facing today, a Telecom Department was created within Apresa-PLP. This department was initially set-up for the distribution of those products manufactured by the PLP group of companies. Nevertheless, we have gone further by developing and manufacturing our own products and applications (an example is the new Wall Mounted cabinets for fiber optic applications and others) by reaching distribution agreements with leading domestic and international companies.
